Mosquito Control
Misting Systems

Our misting systems controls over 150 different insects including bees,
flies, spiders, flies and of course those pesky mosquito's. Pyrethrum is a unique insecticide in that, used correctly, it is relatively non toxic to humans and warm blooded animals. It also breaks down quickly in sunlight and is non-persistent in the environment. Because pyrethrins are such complex and non-persistent chemicals, insect resistance is less likely to occur.
Pyrethrum will not cause residue on the surfaces around your home and there are no unpleasant fumes or odors.
Our latest innovation is a tankless system that represents the leading edge of mosquito control technology. This unit offers snap-in refills with no pre-mixing and digitally controlled dosing. The insecticide concentrate is supplied in a cartridge with a cap that snaps-in to Gen III. Each time the system is activated, the unit precisely mixes a fresh batch of dilute insecticide from the botanical concentrate contained in the snap-in cartridge.
The real innovation in Gen III lies in the use of the “smart” cap on the cartridge to control the unit. Information about the dose rate of the insecticide as well as other important variables like agitation time and maximum mist duration are programmed onto the smart cap. The digital controller uses this information to manage how the system works.
With Gen III, its easy to tailor the amount of active ingredient necessary to gain control over mosquitoes and other annoying insects, while using the least amount of insecticide. And it's small enough to be placed anywhere in your backyard. Mosquito control couldn’t be easier.

What pesticides are used in the misting systems??
The insecticide products most often used in outdoor residential misting systems contain pyrethrins and permethrin. These products may also contain piperonyl butoxide. To be sure what type of
insecticide you are using, check the list of active ingredients on the container label. Gen III is the name we’ve given to our patented, state of the art, tankless mosquito misting system. This innovation in backyard mosquito control is friendlier to consumers and offers more flexibility and control over the products that are misted.
Produce the Same Mist Every Time: Without mixing, the active ingredients in the dilute insecticide tend to settle near the bottom or migrate to the top of the suspension. As a consequence, the concentration of the mix can change from mist cycle to mist cycle. And, in a hot stagnant drum, bacteria growth can compromise the insecticide and clog the filter. Every mosquito spray system has the ability to
agitate the contents to ensure a consistent blend of active ingredients in every mist.
Are residential misting systems effective in controlling insect pests?

National Pesticide Information Center
EPA, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and many
mosquito control professionals, believe that a combination of approaches generally known as Integrated Pest Management
(IPM) is most effective at combating mosquito populations. For example, mosquitoes breed in water, so the elimination of standing water around your home is an essential part of any approach to controlling mosquitoes. Almost any size container such as empty jars or cans, flower pot saucers, cinderblocks or old tires can provide a habitat for mosquitoes to hatch if they remain filled with water for more than a few days. Killing mosquito larvae by draining water before they emerge as adults can reduce or eliminate the need to spray pesticides to kill adult mosquitoes. Because mosquitoes may travel several miles as adults, any management efforts may provide only temporary control.
Protect Against Siphon:
 If your yard
service cuts or nicks your system's tubing, or disturbs a fitting on a landscape riser, it is possible for the dilute solution to slowly siphon out of the reservoir and leak, unnoticed, into your yard. That's why every system is designed with a valve that isolates the nozzle circuit and prevents such an occurrence.
What are outdoor residential misting systems?
Outdoor residential misting systems (sometimes called "mosquito
misters") are application systems designed to spray pesticides in a
fine mist to kill mosquitoes and other insects outdoors. Misting
systems include spray nozzles that are mounted around the perimeter
of a home in the lawn or landscaping, or on parts of the house or
fence. The spray nozzles are connected by tubing to a supply of
insecticide. Some misting systems may be turned on at preset
intervals using a timer. Others may be turned on using a remote
controller, while others may be activated using a switch or attach
to your Home Automation System.

Respond to Wind Sensor: Every system has been
designed to incorporate an optional wind sensor. The controller is
programmed to check the wind speed before each scheduled mist
cycle. It will check the wind every minute for five minutes, and if
the wind is above a predetermined speed, the unit will go into
hibernation until the next regularly scheduled cycle.

Our patent
pending Gen II state of the art tankless misting system
eliminates the concerns of large bulky reservoirs full of
insecticide
The Gen II
connects to standard outdoor hose bib, eliminating time
consuming refills. Simply snap in a cartridge of concentrated
botanical insecticide and the automated controller does all the
work. Each time the system is activated, GEN II precisely mixes
a fresh batch from the concentrate. The information required to
manage the insecticide is contained in the cartridges
programmable patented PRO-CAP. This is the Cadillac of mosquito
misting systems!!!
